Our Features

Discover a world of possibilities with Think Yard's exceptional features
tailored to enhance your journey.

Someone Who's Been In The Room
This isn't advice from someone who read a book about startups; you will be working with founders who have navigated the full arc: the scrappy early days, the growth phase, scaling a team, building client relationships that last, and eventually a successful exit.
Strategy + Execution, Not One
Or The Other
Most advisors hand you a plan and leave you to figure out the rest. We stay involved through the build - whether that's the websire, the pitch, the launch, or the first customer conversation.
A Small Roster By Design
We limit how many clients we take on at a time so every engagement gets real attention. You'll always know where things stand and have direct access to us - not a coordinator.
Flexible Engagements
Whether you need a full launch package, ongoing monthly advisory, or help with one specific thing - there's a structure that fits.
Early Access To Products
Every client gets complimentary early access to Hey Customer, a CRM built for small and growing businesses.
A Network That Opens Doors
Need a designer, developer, vendor, or intro to a potential partner? We bring a built-in network and make connections that actually move things forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know

What does ThinkYard actually help with?
We work with early-stage founders and small business owners on the things that tend to fall through the cracks - building out a business plan, getting a website live, developing a marketing strategy, and figuring out how to find and keep customers. Some clients need all of it from scratch, while others just need help getting unstuck on one specific thing. We adapt to where you are.
Do I have to have a fully formed idea before reaching out?
Not at all. Some of our best client work starts with someone who has a strong instinct, but hasn't figured out how to share it yet. If you have a direction, even a fuzzy one, that's enough to get started. The early conversations are about clarifying the idea, not presenting a finished one.
How is this different from hiring a marketing agency?
Most agencies prefer a long-term retainer and provide a strategy deck for you to execute. Most consultannts give advice, but don't build anything. We do both. We help you think through the strategy and then actually help implement it, whether that's building your website, writing your go-to-market plan, or making introductions to the right people. And because we keep our client roster small, you get real attention, not a project manager you've never met.
What does working together actually look like day to day?
It depends on the engagement. For project-based work (like a website or business plan), we'll have a focused kickoff, we will do a lot of the heavy lifting, and check in regularly until it's done. For ongoing advisory work, we typically meet 2-4 times a month. We are always available between sessions for quick questions, as we are actively working on things in the background - not just waiting for our next call.
What's Hey Customer, and why is it included?
Hey Customer is a CRM that we built specifically for small and growing businesses - think pipeline tracking, customer lifecycle management, and simple tools that don't require a full-time ops person to maintain. It's the sort of system we dreamed of back when we owned our software company for over 20 years, and now we finally have the time to make it a reality. With this in mind, we wanted to give our clients we work with early access as part of our engagement. You'll be among the first to use it, with a direct line to shape how it evolves. It's included at no extra cost. Building is out passion, and we want to help other builders along the way.
How do I know which option is right for me?
The honest answer is, we can figure that out together on the intro call. Spark works well if you have one focused thing you need done fast. Launchpad is for founders who want to go from idea to live, without cobbling it together alone. Momentum is for businesses that are running but need consistent strategic support over time. If you're not sure, just reach out, and we will tell you what we actually think rather than upselling you into something you don't need. Upselling is definitely not our vibe.
